OT, Central Michigan
The experts Mike Mayock, Jason LaCanfora and a few others have Eric Fisher as the best player in the draft. So with that, I'm gonna put Fisher to the Chiefs now. I'm also hearing the Chiefs like Fisher over Joeckel because of what they wanna do in their offensive scheme.
Luke Joeckel: This pick will come down to either Joeckel or Fisher. I'm hearing Fisher is starting to get picked over Joeckel is some mock drafts. Mike Mayock even has Fisher ranked over Joeckel.
I'm sticking Dion Jordan back to Jacksonville because I'm more certain it will pick Jordan over Geno Smith because the vacancy at defensive end is there. I'm not certain where Jacksonville stands with Blaine Gabbert so it's tough to tell whether or not it'll take Smith over Jordan.
Geno Smith: Jacksonville has interest and should take him, but will likely pick Jordan
Oakland got its starting quarterback in Matt Flynn so I'm taking Geno Smith off and Sharrif Floyd on because the Raiders need a ton of help at defensive tackle since it did release Tommy Kelly and let Desmond Bryant walk.
Star Lotulelei: If they like him over Floyd.
Trade down: It's very possible Oakland will trade this pick
OT, Texas A&M
There could be an upgrade here. The Eagles' starting right tackle is Todd Herremans would has done a nice job, but could kick in at right guard. Plus, Luke Joeckel is tremendous value if he drops to the Eagles.
Geno Smith: If Chip Kelly wants his quarterback right out of the gates, he could pick Geno.
Star Lotulelei: Philly likes Lotulelei and they need some starting defensive ends and maybe a nose tackle.
Eric Fisher is off the board so the next best player available would be Ziggy Ansah. Kyle Vanden Bosch and Cliff Avril are gone so the Lions have to bring in a new starting defensive end to replace one of them.
Lane Johnson: Lane Johnson isn't the best player available so I'm not sure the Lions will take Johnson, but he does fill a need.
Dee Milliner: The Lions like Milliner, but probably won't go the Detroit because of bigger needs.
Cleveland did get Paul Kruger from the Ravens so I guess the Browns are solid at outside linebacker so they could take the best player available or draft an actual franchise quarterback. But I highly doubt that will happen at this juncture, Brandon Weeden will still get his chance but has competition facing him with Jason Campbell added to the roster.
For now, the Browns will take Dee Milliner who could be a shutdown corner to go along with Joe Haden.
Trade down: I saw a report from Rotoworld Cleveland will either take Milliner or trade down. Which I believe the Browns will do so.
Geno Smith: Geno has been linked to the Browns and should be the pick because Brandon Weeden isn't the answer.
Lane Johnson to Arizona is looking more likely now that I think about it. Levi Brown is the starting left tackle but could be moved to the right, while Johnson takes over at left. Bobby Massie was the team's right tackle, but there could be an upgrade.
Chance Warmack: If Arizona thinks the tackles are fine, it'll likely take interior line help.
Buddy Nix lands the franchise quarterback that he wants in Ryan Nassib who was coached by Doug Marrone, the current Bills head coach. It won't surprise me if Nassib follows Marrone to Buffalo.
Cordarelle Patterson: Patterson fits the mold of a Bills receiver, but I don't think he goes this high. But I could be wrong.
The D-Line of the Jets needs a new nose tackle since it lost Sione Pouha. They can get a soild one in Star Lotulelei who could fall a little bit because of his heart problem, but it checked out and he's fine.
Cordarelle Patterson: The Jets like Patterson and the need for receivers in New York is super high.
Barkevious Mingo: I've heard Mingo was linked to the Jets, but I don't know about this one.
G, North Carolina
Tennessee is very high on Cooper and it won't surprise me at all if they choose him over Chance Warmack. It usually has a lot to do with scheme fit and Cooper might be a better fit in Tennessee's offense than Warmack.
Chance Warmack: Tennessee could bring in a guard since it needs one. Warmack is the best one available and if they want him, they will try to get him.
Xavier Rhodes: The Titans could address their biggest need at cornerback. The secondary must be upgraded.
DJ Fluker has been linked to the Chargers and would be a solid starter on the Chargers O-line. This might seem a little high, but offensive tackles are in high demand.
Tavon Austin: San Diego could take deep threat since Vincent Jackson left for Tampa.
Cordarrelle Patterson: Another receiver who isn't as fast but a good player nonetheless.
Chance Warmack: If they think Fluker is a reach, San Diego could opt for a guard instead.
I'm hearing Miami will be looking for a defensive tackle this draft because Paul Solai will be a free agent next year and this position could use some depth. Plus, the Dolphins really like Richardson so we could see him go here.
Cordarrelle Patterson: Mike Wallace would have some help across from him if Miami takes Patterson here, but it's not very likely.
Tavon Austin: Another deep threat in Miami should scare every team in the NFL. But I don't see this happening.
I'm buying into the hype of Mingo to the Jets because they need a pass rusher and Mingo has a lot of upside, but has bust potential.
Tavon Austin: Tavon Austin has been mocked to the Jets by some and it would be a good pick if he was taken the Jets. Mark Sanchez needs receivers badly.
Kenny Vaccaro: This is Vaccaro's ceiling because the Jets do need help at safety since losing Yeremiah Bell and LaRon Landry.
WR, West Virginia
I'm not sure the Panthers will take a defensive tackle now that Dwan Edwards re-signed with the team and there are some solid options behind him in Frank Kearse and Colin Cole who could see some playing time in the defensive rotation.
So with that, Carolina could go with the speedy Tavon Austin who would bring a Percy Harvin-like presence in Carolina. Cam Newton needs someone other than Steve Smith to rely on.
Kenny Vaccaro: Carolina lost Sherrod Martin so it could pick up a new starting free safety.
Sheldon Richardson: If Carolina decides to take interest in Richardson, they can take him here.
CB, Florida State
The Saints pass defense was amongst the worst so they could bring in a corner to help boost its secondary. Xavier Rhodes is nice value so it's not a bad choice if Rhodes is the pick.
Jarvis Jones: The Saints have interest in Jones and should take him if he's available. New Orleans needs a 3-4 linebacker to rush the passer.
Bjoern Werner: Werner has been dropping down mock draft and could since some teams ignore good talents because of small issues.
St. Louis doesn't have a solid starting outside linebacker on its roster so maybe the Rams will take Alec Ogletree who they really like.
Chance Warmack: The Rams really need interior line help especially after losing Rob Turner.
